Business in the 21st Century requires a smart approach to people – one where people’s hearts and minds are fully engaged and committed, where work has more meaning than simply a means to an end.   This is what we need to retain talent. According to recent research by CIPD in the UK (2006), around half of employees reported a feeling of disengagement from their work. 

thought_venn_300As Daniel Goleman, the father of Emotional Intelligence, states, we are now in the “emotional economy” and finding the “sweet spot for achievement” - the optimal state for success and being in flow is the new nirvana of today’s driven businessperson, just like a top sports person. Lifelong learning, says Daniel Goleman, is the key to finding this flow, and coaching is where executives are turning to discover how to get there.

Moreover, whilst the theory is often learnt in the classrooms of the likes of Harvard Business School or INSEAD– Xenergie helps leaders achieve the harder part: make it real, uncover the inner blocks, and make it happen.  It is one think to talk it, it is quite another to walk it.

Above and beyond all the talk of emotional intelligence, Xenergie’s course on Authentic Leadership provides a practical approach that explores what it really takes to bring emotional and social intelligence into the workspace and seed the routes of culture transformation leading to a more engaged and talented workforce. The approach is grounded in authenticity, building community and encouraging people across organizations – at ALL levels – to be more collaborative, authentic and to feel safe and empowered being so.   It also provides an awareness of how to effectively lead change – making the journey count, not just the destination.

Xenergie’s 8-day Authentic Leadership programme is highly inspiring and soul-searching, and guaranteed to stretch and provoke amazing thoughts. Delegates truly embark on a journey of discovery, which will empower them for life. The course is held in three parts in a residential setting (arrival evening before) with assignments in between:

Part 1: (3 days)
The Leadership Path, The Big Stretch, Building Trust, Collaboration Skills, Personal Leadership and 360 feedback and self-assessments

Part 2: (3 days)
Developing your Personal Brand & Legacy, Leading Teams through Change, Coaching for success, Adaptive Influencing & breakthrough strategies

Part 3: (2 days)
Creative Breakthroughs, Personal Leadership, The Engagement Formula, Ethics and Morality in leadership, Cultural awareness, New definitions of Supervision

Interactive group and 1-1 coaching with exercises that apply theory throughout.  Each person will develop a personal business plan by the end of the first module which they will build on in between modules and will engage in 1-1 coaching with a qualified coach in between all modules.

Course tutors are from Xenergie’s senior faculty and international associates in specialist disciplines.  Course timetable may be changed to suit e.g. 2 x 4 days.
