Bernard is a qualified and accredited Executive/Business Coach. He describes himself as a "practical hands-on businessman." His vast experience in European business management spanning seven countries and emphasis on practical applications makes him a resource for leadership, team and culture development, change management, interpersonal skills and organisational behaviour.

With 18 years of corporate experience, where he executed in strategic operational and collaborative leadership roles throughout EMEA (Europe Middle East & Africa), he has a proven track record in Pan-European channel sales development with excellent project and influencing skills and the ability to drive change and influence cross functionally.

Bernard is currently a director and owner of XenerGie Consulting Ltd, where his main task, apart from coaching, involves the business development and day-to-day responsibility of the firm. Before joining Xenergie, Bernard worked for major global Fortune 500 corporations:

• As EMEA Sales Service Manager, with world leader in Internet Security technology, he accomplished increased cost effectiveness and customer satisfaction by reaching 125 % of quota with revenue target of 60M$, identified best practices in regions, and implemented a uniform process in Europe to optimise revenue stream.
• As European Sales Director of a leading secondary storage manufacturer, his principal responsibility was the ownership and stewardship of secondary storage solution sales mainly through the EMEA distribution channel.
• As the Central and Eastern Europe Regional Sales Manager for a major colour digital imaging manufacturer, he increased the region’s total revenue from $0.5m to $15m in 4 years and set up a representative office in Vilnius, Lithuania.

Bernard's expertise is in executive coaching and he has a successful record of accomplishment in coaching numerous International Executive Team/Board Management members, particularly in the financial services and bio-pharmaceutical industries.

Bernard holds a MA in Human Resource Management from the NCI, Dublin with a thesis on coaching and the impact on leadership effectiveness, a Master's business degree from ESLSCA, Paris and a Certificate in Psychology & Counselling.

He is a certified NLP business and licensed Master NLP practitioner with the Society of NLP, qualified and Certified Executive coach with Lore, Belbin Associates UK and holds the ACC credentials with the International Coach Federation (ICF). He aims to achieve his second level of credentials for a Professional Coach (PCC) mid 2008 and as such completed The European NLP Coaching Certification Training with ITS in London (April 2008).

ICF Irish Chapter Board member and a graduate member of CIPD Bernard is bilingual in French and English and having lived and worked in seven different countries in four continents (Europe, Africa, North America and Asia) has provided him with in-depth understanding of diversity in human behaviour. He resides in Oranmore Co Galway, Ireland.
