Systemic Team Coaching Advanced Diploma

Transforming Culture and Enabling Innovation

What is the purpose of this programme?

XENERGIE Systemic Team Coaching Advanced Diploma is an accredited programme that aspires to develop change agents who have the capacity to lead, generate and accompany innovation, by applying their learning systemically and emergently, through teams:

  • To bring about more energy, creativity and productivity in their area of work by seeing situations and organisations with fresh eyes …
  • So that potential can be released in what is already there …
  • And revealing untapped resources in the external context.

The learning objectives focus on depth transformation and strategic re-imagining of the organisation (innovation) through a journey of the learning cohort team – developing skills of change leadership, team performance and systemic approaches to transformation

Location: The current intake will be taking place in Ireland and online. This is an international programme and some modules may take place in UK or Continental Europe.

Programme benefits

The overriding benefit of the Systemic Team Coaching Advanced Diploma programme is that it offers whole organisation transformation and strategic re-imagining of the organisational model through exploration of the organisation eco-system.  It’s sustainable – it develops participants to lead and coach others, thereby upgrading and up-skilling the cultural capacity of organisations and communities to respond more effectively to today’s challenging questions.

Who is this programme suitable for?

  • Internal Executive coaches and project team leaders who wish to improve the performance of their teams and learn from the emerging future within organisational change initiatives.
  • Qualified Executive or Business coaches / experienced OD consultants, change managers seeking to develop and expand their team coaching competencies or practice revenue.

What are the programme objectives?

  • Gain an understanding of the theory and practice of systemic team coaching and bring about transformational business improvements
  • Apply and develop team coaching in your own context, using systems thinking and innovative integral theory
  • Develop your skills and competence to be an excellent strategic team coach and change agent (ICF approved for 94 Continuing Coach Education Units (CCEU) and has been awarded the “Accredited Advanced Diploma in Coach Training” status by the Association for Coaching (AC).
  • Integrate coaching, process consulting, facilitation and team building.
  • Gain deep personal understanding of yourself in your roles as a team member and coach
  • Work systemically, considering how inter-connectedness and fractals within organisational systems affect outcomes
  • Bring about team performance, efficiencies and transformation inside organisations
  • Belbin Team Roles certification

Why Systemic Coaching?

A key feature of the Xenergie approach to team coaching is stakeholder engagement and working with the biodiversity of the organisation system (internal and external groups).

This means that the programme has a transformational impact on the wider organisation and organisation’s customers/partners, in addition to the team in question by establishing a new, integral worldview in the field of consulting, coaching and leadership.

Drawing on a range of team and behavioural change theories – notably BELBIN Team Roles, Theory U, Integral Leadership and others – the diploma course offers a nine month, practical, learning ‘journey’ that develops you as a team member and your skills to coach teams within organisations.

We move through the “U”stages 1) current state and change readiness assessment 2) team performance 3) strategic re imagining 4) entering the dark night of change reality 5) embedding and upgrading organisational learning and collaboration

During the programme, participants apply their learning in practical ‘client team’ consultations. Therefore participants will need to identify a client team project for this purpose and must be willing to engage in supervision and mentoring on their team coaching client case study (18hrs included in programme). This provides an opportunity for organisational engagement with this programme and for learning to be embedded immediately.

Candidates are expected to have attended a previous coaching programme of at least 125 hours and performed at least 250 hours of documented client coaching hours.

Participants, who do not have this length of experience, but have organisational consulting or leadership development experience, may enter via portfolio route – an assessment of prior-experience and a 3-day foundation coach skills training.

Participants will be coached in a learning group cohort team in parallel to their ‘client team’ project. Learning is experiential rather than purely theoretical, where the coach becomes aware of his / her own presence and impact in the interventions, as well as working with awareness of what is happening with the ‘client project team’.

Team coaches must be willing to engage in supervision and mentoring on their team coaching in relation to this work (18hrs included in programme).
