High Performing Teams
Top Team Coaching
"If you could get all the people in an organization rowing in the same direction, you could dominate any industry, in any market, against any competition, at any time." Patrick Lencioni
There's nothing like on-the-ground observation to review and mirror the dynamics of your team.
Using the Belbin team methodology as a foundation, our Top Team Coaching Programmes combine experiential learning techniques by doing, the latest in management thinking, group culture psychology drawing on the work of Bion, Lawrence and other group behaviour psychologists, group psycho-dynamics, transforming experience framework and facilitated observations (360 feedbacks) to examine the interactions and dynamics of a particular team at large.
This has the benefit of identifying the team's current strengths and weaknesses and
pinpointing areas for future coaching and development, e.g. avoidance of accountability, absence of trust, poor communication, lack of innovation, commitment or risk taking, etc.
Our Team Coaching Programme is framed in the context of a high-performance journey and involves an elaborate intervention process, the introductory programme starts from 2hrs debrief feedback on your team dynamics increasing self-awareness:
- An explanation of the Belbin system and the importance of team balance
- Individual and Team/Group Belbin profiling for your team members
- Overall Belbin team role balance analysis - identifying the thinking process of your team, emotional DNA and mapping their cognitive strengths and weaknesses, preferences and flexibilities through understanding of team dynamics
What will the organisation gain from this Team Coaching Process?
- Raised self awareness from individual/team Belbin profiling empowers individuals to better manage their interactions with peers and increase employee engagement
- Enhanced ability to increase team productivity through understanding of team dynamics (i.e. gain involvement of all team members in decision-making and problem solving, improved trust)
- Understanding what makes a balanced team in order to develop a behavioural team role strategy (Team role mix/relationships and leadership)
- Development of people capacities through learning at all levels, with particular emphasis on self-management, team capabilities and project-based activities - to enable and support performance improvement and organisational potential.
All the above can be supported by practical experiential learning exercises, indoors and outdoors, to demonstrate team roles in action. Thereafter, we follow your team over a six or twelve-month period to measure progress and further coach on specific issues e.g. relating to team values, team leadership, change programmes etc. Need more information?
