The Feminine Way to Business Success

"There is much talk about  the untapped potential of women in the business world these days.  According to celebrity business guru, Lynne Franks, women have a wealth of natural attributes and values-led principles at their disposal, not least of which are integrity, creativity, inclusiveness, and the ability to multi-task and to nurture and grow.  They are naturally managers and entrepreneurs. However, they face many barriers not usually applicable to men".

Says Lynne Franks who will be appearing for the first time in the West of Ireland on 22 October in Co Clare, "Many women have low self-confidence in a traditionally male-dominated business world where the language is about survival of the fittest and focus is on spreadsheets, competition, and confrontation. They often have additional life constraints such as looking after children and other family members, and therefore need flexibility of hours and location. Developing confidence and learning to play to their natural strengths is absolutely key to their success, yet many are held back by their own lack of self belief."

Lorna McDowell of Xenergie adds "There are comparatively few women on the boards of Irish companies compared to some of our European counterparts.  Women have played a traditional role of homemaker and often not dared to be ambitious.  And those that are get labelled as ‘bitches’".

Things have been slowly changing in recent years, but women struggle, not only to juggle all their responsibilities, but more importantly to cope with their own conflicting feelings about their roles and potential, also the assumptions they fear others will make about them.   Sometimes I believe that this is far greater enemy of women’s career success than the difficulty of balancing responsibilities and family duties that work life balance initiatives tend to focus on.    Confidence and self-esteem is the missing link.

The One Day SEED Experience with Lynne Franks' is an interactive practical day for women in business, or women or would like to start their own business,  where they can explore their confidence and self belief, explore their self identify and learn how to make it easier for themselves by competing on different terms to men: how feminine values and strengths can tangibly create sustainability and high performance in business for the long term.

If you would like to be inspired on a Sunday, get yourself down to the Burren Holistic Centre in Co Clare – just outside Ennis – on 22 October and listen to the words of wisdom of a lady who has done it and created her own success from her kitchen table ... the feminine way. To book a place on the "The SEED Experience with Lynne Franks on Sunday 22 October, call Xenergie Coaching +353 (0) 91 782 826 or info@xenergie.com.
