THE CONFIDENCE TO SUCCEED

Xenergie Ignites your Inner Entrepreneur with SEED Principles from Lynne Franks

On 22 October, Xenergie brought Lynne Franks to Co Clare to give a one-day taster of her SEED programme to 18 female entrepreneurs in business, as part of Xenergie's women in business coaching programme, Ignite - Find your Inner Entrepreneur.

Lynne Franks is possibly one of the world's most famous PR persons and international spokesperson on the changing face of women in society, as well as author/broadcaster on females in business.  Since starting and selling her own multi-million pound PR business which she started from her kitchen table at the age 21, Lynne has been touring the world concentrating her communication skills on promoting and helping women in business.

She has been developing SEED since 2000. SEED - sustainable economics and enterprise development for women – is an education programme that empowers women to start and run businesses using feminine principles of community, values, ethics and sustainability and to re-orientate their lives around their values and strengths.

Xenergie uses SEED principles and Lynne's SEED handbook in our Ignite Find your Inner Entrepreneur programme for women who are setting up a new business for the first time.  The process helps people to understand their motivations and drivers for success, the strengths and unique selling points of their own 'brand' that will create their success and the behaviours and self- belief required to stay the distance and grow a blooming business.

The programme lasts 3 months and is delivered over 12 hours of 1-1 coaching.  The output from the programme is a highly strengthened self-image, a clear direction and focus and a practical go-to-market strategy and plan that will hit the target head on.  Those who have completed the programme report highly increased clarity on how and where to place effort for best success, how to differentiate themselves and build a self belief in themselves that they could otherwise have taken years to develop.

More women than ever before want to start their own enterprise  The untapped potential of women entrepreneurs, and encouraging more women onto the boards of companies, is now a key development focus in Ireland.

Says Lynne, "Women have a wealth of natural attributes and values-led principles at their disposal, not least of which are integrity, creativity, inclusiveness, and the ability to multi-task and to nurture and grow.  However, they face many barriers not usually applicable to men. Many have low self-confidence in a traditionally male-dominated business world where the language is about survival of the fittest and focus is on spreadsheets, competition, and confrontation. They often have additional life constraints such as looking after children and other family members, and therefore need flexibility of hours and location."

Developing confidence and learning to play to your natural strengths is the way forward, according to Lynne Franks:

"I firmly believe that doing business through collaboration and connection is part of the big picture for this planet,” says Lynne.  "We can find the answers together and do business in a loving way. Helping women to acknowledge their strengths and their gifts is a vital part of this."

Lynne will be returning to Ireland in Spring 2007.  For further details please visit our upcoming workshops section for updates regarding dates and venues.
