Xenergie Launches Team-Doc - Team Mastery Journey Offer

Free Team Reports until end of September 2008.
With millions of euros spent on teambuilding days that deliver instant fun, bad hangovers and little concrete change the world over, Xenergie has a more robust answer to team performance in response to changing times when trust and commitment is no longer a given.
Xenergie Consulting, has developed Team-Doc to facilitate the achievement of lasting performance improvement in teams. Xenergie Team-Doc is a powerful team process that corals groups of individuals into highly collaborative and self-directed teams through a 3 to 9 month developmental journey that researches the underlying causes of issues, diagnoses team culture DNA, introduces huge self awareness and enhances collaboration mastery, culture development and performance excellence.
Unlike the one-moment wonder of team building days, this is an incremental process which focuses on applying learning in real life as the journey proceeds, rather than just learning new theories that get forgotten after students have left the course classroom.
Why is this necessary? People are the new products of corporate Ireland, as the business paradigm has moved away from manufacturing to services. Yet research shows (CIPD 2006) that nearly 50% of employees are 'disengaged' from their work. What result does that suggest for the effectiveness of our product outputs? There are various reasons for this disengagement, from poor leadership, to changing motivations of the younger end of the workforce towards values-based management - but one of the age-old problems still remains: communication and our inability to express ourselves clearly, an avoidance of conflict and the human tendancy to make automatic assumptions and judgements from a-z ... all form a melting pot of issues that need to be mastered if any team is to be effective. However, this challenges individuals at a very personal level and that's why organisations have avoided it for decades. But as we move into the next decade of the 21st century, there will be nowhere to hide as emotional intelligence and self mastery are now pre-requisites for rising up the corporate ladder ... and now for selling products, if people are indeed our new products.
The Team-Doc Journey
The journey begins with diagnosing the issues through independent feedback interviews with stakeholders inside and customers outside the team combined with psychometric profiling such as MBTI, Belbin Team Roles, Lore Leadership Assessment and EBW Emotions and Behaviours at Work. After diagnosis, a bespoke training and coaching plan - at an individual and team level - is designed and delivered through 1-1 and group coaching.
Lorna McDowell, Xenergie's MD, says: "Teams fail for the following reasons: absence of trust, fear of conflict and challenging each other, lack of commitment, avoidance of accountability and inattention to results. Starting with trust, these 5 dimensions cause teams to implode in a domino effect - yet this is often hidden by superficial trust and passive aggressive behaviours."
During an agreed period - from 3 to 9 months depending on size and complexity of team - Xenergie Team Doc coaches take teams through their paces in rectifying dysfunctions and focusing on more productive ways of working together and learning from one another. Individuals are coached through a rigorous but compelling personal leadership inventory of themselves and their collaborative and influencing habits. They are then mentored through new skills such as: how to listen properly; how to challenge and introduce conflict when necessary; how to confront and delete non-verbal passive aggressive behaviours in self and others that cause avoidance of accountability and inattention to results. The process then goes on to examine team roles, team purpose and developing focus using the "80/20 success" theory.
