Improve your delegation and achieve more every day
Workshop Starts: Thursday, Oct 14, 2010 - Runs Until: Thursday, Oct 14, 2010
The one day course described below has been designed by Barrie Watson, head of Consultancy Belbin Associates UK and is a follow-up to the Belbin Accreditation course.Specifically, the course focuses on the issue of delegation, a discipline that has always been important but now is absolutely vital in the world of lean organisations where fewer people are required to achieve much more.
This is no ordinary course that merely replicates traditional approaches to delegation. It integrates a new model and new disciplines based on the Belbin Work Role model which was devised jointly by Dr Meredith Belbin and Barrie Watson.
To ensure each participant receives a high level of personal coaching in using the methods and techniques and is able to access the vast experience of the tutor the course is limited to eight people.
The course covers:
- Re-affirming why good delegation is so important.
- An introduction to the Belbin Work Role model and an explanation of how it can be used to ensure each person knows what is expected of them and provide a basis for measuring progress and outcomes.
- Using the unique “Clear” model to ensure objectives set are motivating and achieve measurable outcomes.
- Deciding what sort of things are best tackled by teams and how to access the benefits of results focused team working.
- Using the Delegation and Management style questionnaire to elicit natural strengths and weaknesses when delegating and monitoring work.
The course fee is €250 per delegate. (This includes the provision of a resources CD containing reference and support material.) We will be pleased to quote a special rate and design a bespoke in-company course for organisations having six or more delegates.Book both courses and get 10% off, please enter voucher code 746420a9 book your place now on our eShop!
