Workshop Starts: Thursday, Sep 16, 2010 - Runs Until: Saturday, Sep 18, 2010
Release the Capacity to Make a Difference - Working Above, Around, Below the Surface of the Organisation
2-days Organisation Analysis retreat with John Bazalgette, The Grubb Institute (UK) of Behavioural Studies and Lorna McDowell, Xenergie
9.30 am to 5pm, Dublin
An introduction to the concept of Person-in-Role and integral organisation analysis as a process for turning around real world problems and complex cultures that seem to be in gridlock.
Today’s challenges cannot be solved by yesterdays’ solutions. Culture and adaptive leadership are the keys to being able to survive and thrive as we enter a new age and now is the time to look deeper at what is happening inside your organisation, in order to release trapped potential and become more adaptable to the new emerging business context.
This unique retreat introduces organisation analysis as an approach for working with the unconscious forces - in other words the “unseen interior” of organisation life which is the fabric of organisation culture - and generating an understanding of what is happening and why, and how to transform it.
By and large, organisations have ignored this as being too complex to manage and instead focused on change approaches which focus on metrics and measurements, technical systems and process design and linear pathways. Working with the unseen interior of the organisation is the only way to begin to enter the degree of transformation that the new business context demands.
What will I gain from this one-day workshop?
- Learn how organisation psycho-dynamic analysis - as distinct from personal psychoanalysis - helps an organisation unlock cultural dilemmas that are stagnating potential and holding people back.
- Gain a new perspective on your work's issues in order to accelerate your company's transformation and re-invigorate the business
- Improve organisational effectiveness by helping group and individual relationships in your organisation
- Expand your self-awareness and understanding of the wider and deeper organisational context in order to act within it to improve the chances of success
- A set of tools to analyse problems from a deeper level of systemic awareness of the forces and factors above and below the surface to enable for example, to increase your ability to deliver your strategic agenda
Who is this workshop for? Managers and executives from all business, Government and educational disciplines who want tools for releasing trapped capacity in organisation culture and alignment of people to purpose.
