This programme is designed for experienced coaches who wish to deepen their practice by becoming accredited supervisors. It adopts a systemic and enterprise lens to explore the complexities of coaching relationships within large, multi-stakeholder organizations. The curriculum is aligned with the Association for Coaching (AC) standards for coach supervisor training and incorporates the latest trends in the field, including the impact of technology, globalisation, and organisational dynamics.

Programme Outline

Who is it for?

Experienced Systemic coaches

Accredited Supervisors (who wish to upskill on systemic lens and enterprise application of Supervision)

Internal coaching practice managers

Course Requirements: 121 Learning Hours

60 hours tutor led learning:

Online Self-Paced Learning (9 modules)

6 group reflection sessions, role modelling deep reflective practice where participants lead their own learning agendas based on the provided content and their own research.

40 hours own research and self-study:

To be spent in inquiry on the application and practice of supervision which can be exploring how it is used or could be used through their networks or organisations that they know, with the aim of improving overall enterprise and coach vitality and impacts.

6 hours Supervision Experience:

2 x 3 hour sessions (supported by online module 4 for preparation).

15 hours Supervision Practice:

Typically 5 x 3 hour group supervision sessions.

Final Assessment:

Reflective content piece /creative presentation demonstrating and viva voce:

  • Personal observations on the need and case for supervision in enterprises, taken from self study

  • Case study learning – distilling insights

  • Feedback from participant supervisees and supervisor

  • Alignment and development of supervisor role to personal purpose / career / business

  • Future development plan

  • This module establishes the core principles and practices of coaching supervision, shifting from a 1-1 to a systemic perspective:

    • 1-1 and Team coaching supervision

  • Practice ( + 2 x half days )

    • Considerations in group supervision vs 1-1 supervision

    • Using group supervision as an action learning experience inside organisations

    • Clearing -  the process of release

    • Resilience – derisking fragility whilst resourcing change

    • Innovating -  partnering, transacting and value exchange in the new world of organisation

    • Framing the purpose and intent of coaching

  • This final module focuses on consolidating learning and preparing for the formal AC accreditation process.
